Teody Racuya "Portrait Painter/Artist"

It was a very beautiful and surprising first time experience for me to be a Model of an actual portrait painting of Artist Teody Racuya, a very promising fine artist in south of Metro Manila.

The experience was truly interesting and full of fun. I realized that it's not a joke to be an actual model of these artists as it require also concentration and patience. I always forgot how to keep myself in still position for minutes with only my eyeballs moving. "Kapag napapatagilid ako sa iba, sesenyas ang Painter kaunti pa pong tingin sa kabilang side." Patience is a wonderful virtue of an artist as well as for it's model, and it is always a perfect combination to get the best result after all.

The Artist of the South is holding their "Colors of Love" Painting Exhibit at SM Southmall in Food Street area. The show will run from February 7 - 28, 2014.

Actual sketching session with Artist Teody Racuya

He is looking at Me seriously without anything on his paper.
Blow by blow progress. I noticed his medium was quiet interesting to look at, it came into my mind if the results will really look like me? Let's all look at it. Big Smile!

Amazing!

Teody is putting his signature on My Portrait painting.

Kamukha ko na po ba? Big Smile!

These are some very nice oil paintings of artist Teody Racuya.
This painting is now included in the current Art Exhibition at Sm Southmall.
After the Portrait session I had a chance to look at his profile and it was an impressing fact that he is really one of the best Artist of the South with plenty winning art works.

KINARA Philippines Dance Evolution

It was a fantastic evening of February 8, 2014 at the Newport Performance Theater, Resorts World, Manila, for us to see "KINARA Philippines Dance Evolution". This is the 1st production project of our dear friend Joel Estrada Joves.

We truly loved and sincerely enjoyed the entire show. Everything was perfectly executed and all artists showed their genius of their crafts and they danced gracefully throughout the evening. We loved the very entertaining dance evolution and their music. The beautiful and colorful costumes are perfectly matched to it's numbers.  The truly amazing Pole Dancers made their best moves.  The magnificent stage arrangement and backgrounds are all well organized and lot more.

The production was very good and truly delighted our evening.  No dull moments as I may say and we enjoyed every bit of it.

Congratulations again Joel Estrada Joves! I am very happy and truly proud of you.

Congratulations and more Power!

Heavy traffic from Alabang South going to Resorts World can never stop us!

Val Sotto of VST and Co.

It was truly a wonderful occasion as we celebrate Chinese New Year's day yesterday. Tony and Me met Mr. Val Sotto of VST and Co. in person. They were my favorite band during my time. Who would not remember Rock Baby Rock? That was the most favorite song and dance number during my High School years. I easily remember the joy with my group "Barkadas" at all times, basta sinabing "Group Dancing" it's Rock Baby Rock, hawak sa baywang and just sway left and right and walk forward with your knees half bend. VST songs are truly one of the best.

Mr. Val Sotto of VST & Co, with Tony and Me
Val Sotto is already a man during my teenage time, but surely he didn't age much.

Val Sotto is a singer, composer, comedian and Filipino actor. He was one of the lead vocalists in all male disco group's name VST & Company during the late 1970's up to 1980's. He appeared as the lead actor in Agila (TV series) aired from 1987 to 1992 on RPN and ABS-CBN produced by TAPE Inc. At present, he is councilor (2nd District) in ParaƱaque City.

Valmar Castelo Sotto (also known as Val Sotto) is the grandnephew of former Senator Filemon Sotto and grandson of former Senator Vicente Sotto in the Philippines. He is the oldest brother of Senator Tito Sotto (former actor), Marcelino "Maru" Sotto, Jr. (husband of actress Ali Carag-Sotto) and Vic Sotto (actor). He is an uncle of actresses and actors Ciara Sotto-Oconer, Danica Sotto-Pingris, Oyo Sotto and the late Miko Sotto. He married to Theresa Marco Sotto since December 14, 1969, and they have four children (Beverly, Valerie, Vanessa, and Victor).

Gerry Chua, Mr UBE, The Hopia UBE King

Our shopping becomes more memorable when we met in person the Hopia Guro himself Mr. Gerry Chua of the famous Eng Bee Tin.

In the ’70s, Eng Bee Tin was just one of the many stores selling Chinese delicacies in Binondo. It is now one of the famous traditional Chinese delicacies store selling hopia, tikoy, glutinous balls and many more.

Like other businesses, Eng Bee Tin also had experience some downs in their business and when the eldest innovative son Mr. Gerry Chua took over, he tried the Ube Hopia flavor which becomes an instant hit. Eng Bee Tin products are actually one of our favorites in Dubai, UAE.

It was a pleasant afternoon when we decided to check the Eng Bee Tin Restaurant for our late lunch. It was my first time to see this place. Truly a pleasant and a heart warming experienced.

I love the color violet and while having our lunch Me and my friend Cecile started our conversation about the many wonders of Violet color in all his stores and why it was?

After having our lunch we went to the Delicacies area, they have chain of stores all over Ongpin. Upon entering the last violet store, the violet Christmas motif attracted me, it makes me feel good. I love the violet Christmas scheme all around the place.

As we entered and to my pleasant surprise, Mr Gerry and company was at the main entrance of the store and gave us his heart warming Smile and Welcome. I easily recognized him because I saw him before on a TV interview. Mr Gerry Chua is the eldest son of Mr Chua Chiu Hong who started and put up Eng Bee Tin on Ongpin Street in Binondo, Manila, in 1912.

A heart warming Smile and Welcome from Mr Gerry Chua,
The Hopia Guro, UBE King.
