I am so happy and blessed that a lot of people came over to witness the official turn-over ceremony of Miss Universe Germany's Johanna Acs' Castle Headdress through me. The event was well attended by UST Officials, Students, Family, and Friends.
We signed the UST Museum Deed of Donation during the opening ceremony together with UST Museum Director, Rev. Fr. Isidro D. Abaño, O.P. who officially accepted the donation of the Castle Headdress to UST Museum.
From the bottom of my grateful heart, thank you, Rev. Fr. Isidro D. Abaño O.P. for accepting the headdress at the UST Museum and be its final home.
Together we unveiled the castle headdress of Miss Universe Germany, Johanna Acs to officially open the exhibition to the public.
Let me take this opportunity to thank Miss Universe Germany Johanna Acs who said, and I quote "Mahal niya ang Pilipinas in which Miss Universe and Filipino hospitality have been memorable and happiest weeks of her life. As a gesture of giving back the love. She wants her headpiece to stay in the Philippines as a remembrance."
The turnover ceremony was held on the 13th of February 2017, 4:30 in the afternoon, at the Main Gallery of UST Museum. It was two(2) weeks after the 65th Miss Universe Pageant which was held in Manila, Philippines, on January 30, 2017.
The Castle Headpiece and other mementos are now exhibited at the UST Museum Main Gallery and can be viewed until February 24, 2017.
The exhibit also features the Miss Universe Dolls Collection of UST Educational Technology Center Director, Professor Anna Cheryll M. Ramos.
My amazing homecoming to my Alma Mater UST was one of the best moments and stories I could ever imagine to inspire my son and UST students in attendance. It is the value of a simple gesture of giving back to my alma mater that is worth remembering.
In God's time, I now understand one of my purpose in life. Destiny made it happen and make me understand better the value of my faithfulness, loyalty, and love to my alma mater.
God really works beyond anyone’s expectations, beyond our limits and understanding, beyond our wishes and dreams. God always surprises us in His many thousand ways, He is inspiring us to inspire others too.
The warm welcome and appreciation of the UST Museum Director, Rev. Fr. Isidro Abaño and all the staff made me more confident that God is with me all my life.
To my fellow Thomasians, thank you so much. Mabuhay ang mga Tomasino.
