Mini Trivia

My father, was a very loving husband and a caring father to all his twelve (12) children. He loves to sing, while my mother playing her piano piece "The Stardust". He is very creative and can creatively create many things in everything. He works very good with passion on all his doing. High level of tolerance, reasonable patience and humility.

Many stories to tell. Let me mention some of my many favorite moments with him. Back then, when I'm 16 years old and it's summer time, he is about 69 years old, and already having his enlargement of heart, and on the later part his conditioned went worst. The time comes that he cannot even attend and went to Baclaran for his Devotion to the Mother of Perpetual help, so he asked me to join him in prayers in the house and I made a little altar in his bedroom table and I lead the prayers.

To continue the many memories and moments with him, after our prayers. I asked him all his children's name and birthday. Surprisingly he smiled to me and started narrating all his children's name and birthday accordingly. Very good, I said. He passed the 1st quiz question, so I asked the second one. What about your grandchildren? He would never break my heart that's for sure and so he does as I wished.

Melanio, in work was the most loved employee of all FMM Priest and Sisters. In all seasons and circumstances whenever we're visiting all the FMM convents. Just mentioned my father's name and all the nuns/sister's will give us warm smile and welcoming us with warm hugs. All nuns/sisters of his generations have their own stories to tell and all are so freshly reminiscing how Melanio touched their lives from his time and still lives in their hearts.

In my father's wake, all Franciscan nuns and priest are present. All his former colleagues in work even retired ones was present and have their own stories to tell for us. Special mention Rev. father Raphael John Zepher officiated his funeral mass.

Sister Pilar Capino, FMM, RIP
"Melanio is very kind wearing a smile at all times, and he is very helpful."

"When someone you love dies you never get over it. You just slowly learn how to go on without them, but always keeping them tucked safely in your heart."

Here Today And Gone Tomorrow
Ray Conniff

I came to you in dark despair
I needed someone who would care.
You held me close against your heart
I felt a warmth right from the start.

Then one day he took you away
Why did it happen, who can say?
Now all that there is left for me
Is just a precious memory.

That's life, that's life
You take the joy, you take the sorrow.
That's life, that's life
You're here today and gone tomorrow.

My life has crumbled since you've gone
But somehow i must carry on.
The pain i feel i can't describe.
I can't forget you, though i've tried.

Each night i say a little prayer
That when he takes me you'll be there.
Together once again we'll be
I'll live again my memory.

That's life, that's life
You take the joy, you take the sorrow.
That's life, that's life
You're here today and gone tomorrow.

That's life, that's life
You take the joy, you take the sorrow.
That's life, that's life
You're here today and gone tomorrow.
