Ambassador Francisco Acevedo Alba, the founder of Prudential Life Group of Companies and a former Philippine envoy to the Vatican, is a topnotch executive with a warm heart for God, his family, and the nation. He is the Philippines ' best-known pioneer for pre-need trade (that is, securities provider of life, pension, education plans).
This accomplished Capiceño was born on 3 December 1935 in Capiz (now Roxas City) in the province of Capiz to parents Dioscoro Alba and Rosario Acevedo. He lost his mother due to childbirth infection. While his father settled in Mindanao, Frank (as he is more commonly known) and sister Nieva (now Mrs. Ramon Asis) grew up in the care of maternal grandparents.
