Engr. Tony Albar's Milestone @ 64th!

Engr. Tony Albar
The picture was taken on April 2022

Many years ago on this day, God decided to send an angel without wings to earth. The angel was meant to touch lives and that happened!

Tony, you are an inspiration to everyone, keep shining. I will never forget, how you handle every situation in our life, in your work, with workmates, with our families, with our friends, I will never doubt your coolest wisdom to lead our life.

On this day, I wish all your dreams to come true, and may you live a happy and healthy life for the rest of your wonderful self and life with all of us.

I want you to know that when I listen to my heart, it whispers your name.  Tony Albar, You are an exceptionally thoughtful and affectionate husband, and I am so thankful that I get to spend the best of my youth and for the rest of my life with you.

I am not perfect, but you never made me feel less of myself. You loved me for who I am and never tried to change me. This motivated me to work on myself to bring out the best in me for us and for all the people around us.

I'm so lucky to have you as my excellent partner and husband. You're my best friend, my partner in life, my husband, my soul mate,  my love, and my legs when I cannot stand.  You make me so happy just looking back and looking forward to being your special partner and wife in life. Even after all this time, you never stop amazing me, especially in our most trying times.

You are my great kind and the good-hearted husband; I can never imagine anyone else in your place. You are godly, smart, loving, caring, and forgiving. I know I may not be the absolute opposite of all these, which is why I am lucky to have you in my life. You are the same today as you were when I first met you. Thank you for being the only constant in this ever-changing world. You are a positive person, who can see the light at the end of the tunnel no matter how hopeless the situation might be (this is one of the qualities I am trying to acquire from you).

I have so many kind wishes for you but today is your special day, let it be filled with lots of smiles, cake, presents, and love.

Like Mommy Abadesa always says, always advance your age so, at 64, I want to welcome your 65th year with so much joy, and good health. More love and hope. More blessings and longevity. Together, I will be blessed to gain back my health and be with you and our son and our future grandchildren.

I want you to know that you are sincerely loved. I want to thank father in heaven for a gift of a good husband in you. Let me thank you for all you do for me, for our family, for our friends, and for all your workmates all these years. You are an inspiration and a mentor to be considered by many.

I silently work on these video messages for you to be surprising in a different way, and in all honesty, I enjoyed all their messages for you. It makes me happy to know that what I believe about you is really true.

I may not afford to give you a big birthday thanksgiving celebration for now but I want you to know that all the best I could think is only for the good you.

Let me thank all the kind and nicest people who help me with my small kind gift for you. Let me share these few inspiring, kind, nice, and fantastic Birthday messages for you on your special day that will make your day more special than usual. They said, "Fifty is the old age of youth; sixty-four is the youth of old age."

I don't have so much to gift you on your birthday today, but I find a priceless way to make you happier on your birthday. Here are the greetings from our families, good friends, old friends, and new ones, let God bless you and keep you all your life with a comfortable life, good health, and longevity. From the bottom of my heart, our heart. We love you and thank you for being an Angel without wings for all seasons of life.

Greetings for Engr. Tony Albar @64!

Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Menguito, SVD on His 40th Anniversary!

May Christ, Our Lord, bless you abundantly in your priestly ministry. Blessed 40th Anniversary in God's service and mission, our dear friend, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel "Emmy", "Fr. Meng" Aure Menguito, SVD. Ordained on this day the 24th of October 1981 at the Divine Word Seminary, Tagaytay City, Cavite, Philippines.

Rev. Fr. Emmanuel "Meng" Menguito, SVD.

Fr. Meng is a Cebuano from Mambaling, born on January 14, 1955. He was an SVD novice in 1974 and professed his first vows in 1977. He was ordained in 1981, one of the 11 ordained that year. His first assignment was as the Assistant Prefect of the High School at the Christ the King Mission Seminary for one year.
He had a taste of pastoral work for three years at St. Augustine Parish in Pinamalayan, Or. Mindoro. After further studies at the De La Salle University, he was back at the Christ the King Seminary as Spiritual Director at the College Department from 1985-1993, for the next 20 years, except for a study break in the United States in 1999, he was assigned to the Divine Word Seminary in Tagaytay in various capacities in 1993 – 2013.

Fr. Meng was appointed as the Postulancy Director from 1993 – 1998, Head Spiritual Director. He was also the Secretary of the Formation Board. He taught Pastoral Psychology. He served as the Prefect of the Scholastics. Almost all SVD priests who entered the seminary from the late eighties onward had somehow experienced formation with him. Today, he is still doing information work. He is assigned at the Christ the King Seminary as Head Spiritual Director.

For 40 years of devoted work in formation, you deserve to be honored. It must be a very satisfying work mission, knowing that those who were under you are now in the mission fields all over the world.

We pray for many more years added to your life so that you can guide more young people to dedicate their lives as witnesses to the Word of God. Thanks for the work you do and congratulations on your 40th ordination anniversary.

Gracious and loving God, we thank you for the gift of our priests. Through them, we experience your presence in the sacraments. Help our priests to be strong in their vocation. Set their souls on fire with love for your people. Amen!

Thank you so much, for all the priestly blessings, prayers, and guidance.
We love you, as always, Tony, Sol, Andreij

It's A Blessing To Have Ate Lilia! Having A Kind, Caring, and Loving Sister!

30th of July 2021, Today is my Ate Lily's 76th Birthday! The best, finest, greatest, supportive and generous big sister ever born anywhere in this whole wide world.

Ate Lily at 76!

Sis, you have a bigger heart than anyone I know. It’s so big that you love Me. My Tony, My Andreij, and all our brothers and sisters, in-laws, nieces, and nephews no matter what, despite our not-so-nice side of each and everyone on each side you remain loving and generous and we love you more for that.

I remember how much you always wanted us to be beautiful wearing your best-made dresses, all my/our best occasions. How nice to remember all of us wearing "same design fabric" with all other sisters. All those sweet things are kept within my heart.

You’re the best sister and friend anyone can ever have. every day, I find so many reasons to be glad you’re my sister. Mom and Dad in heaven are surely glad to see us all loving and caring for each other because we're so blessed to have the eldest daughter in you who always bond our family with love and with your ever deepest prayers at all stages of our lives, I love everything about you, Sis.

It’s so easy for me to wish you a lifetime of joy, wonder, and prosperity. It’s easy because I only want the best for you on your birthday and every day of your life! Let's celebrate your special day because we'll always look out for one another, no matter what. Happy birthday awesome Ate Lily! We love you always. ♡♡♡"

The Gift Of Having A Bosom Friend!

There are no other words that I could use more than a blessing to have a bosom friend, someone you can be very close with and confide everything in without hesitations.

Before I say my goodnight prayer, let me share how wonderful to have a bosom friend in this wonderful life. I am one of those many lucky people like many of you to receive a sincere love and friendship, a friendship to keep for life. In my life, I saw friends come, and go. I saw them come and just remain. Now, I am old, I can say that God gifts me someone who stands by me no matter what I am going through. She never judges me for my naughty things, she never fulls me down when I am happy. She never forgets to be with me when I am uncertain. She always supports me in all my dreams. She even keeps me in touch even I am in a faraway land. Most of all my Guardian Angel even speaks to her and she will come on time to rescue me. Let me thank God first for my precious discovery. My Besty is proving time and time again what an incredible friend she was to me!

I value our friendship so much and just want to say she was the best friend God gift me in this life to keep. She is my best friend and my family by choice. Thank you for being in my life. I feel truly lucky. We’ve known each other for such a long time that I can remember many of our moments together since we met. You’re my best friend, and you’re a part of me. We fit together so well maybe because sometimes you’re everything I’m not, and I’m everything you’re not. When I am down, you lift me high. When I cry, you cry with me. We both love our family and extend each other's love. We both try our best to cook, results? let's leave the comment to our husband and kids. Hahaha! We both love to clean, our best tool is our lightweight "walis tambo" ewan nga, masaya talaga makitang malinis ang floor talaga. Hahaha! We were meant to be best friends for many reasons! Hahaha!

It's time to celebrate thanksgiving. I, Tony, and Andreij simply celebrate your birthday as special as you are! I hope your day is fantastic, and the year ahead is even better still. Happy birthday Besty! You shine so much brightness and joy into the lives of everyone around you. Thanks for being such an amazing person and best friend, and I hope that today on your birthday, some of that brightness shines right back at you!

God Smiled the Day We Became Friends! "Ang Ganda!"

You’ve taught me everything I know about friendship and loyalty.

I know what true loyalty means because I see it in my husband's eyes and your eyes. Glimpses of it are in words, actions, care. I cherish our friendship and the loyalty we have for each other just like Tony thought me all these years.

Tony and I visit your Image of Saint Escriva at the Our Lady Of Grace!

She Is My Wonderful Angel Sister Without Wings, A Cheerful Giver, A Friend Indeed!

Today, the 1st of May is another special day for me, my Mom, and all our siblings because a wonderful baby girl was added to our family and she was named after Mother Mary and Saint Joseph so she was baptist with the name of Maria Josefina, we call her Phine. Happy Birthday, Sister bestie! I wish all of the best for you, for us, in these upcoming years!

Another year has gone by! There are so many things that I wish I could give you this year, and you would deserve all of them. So to my Ate Phine, big sister, best friend on her birthday, here's a reminder of how amazing you are.

Saying that you're special is an understatement. I hope that you know this, and not just know it, but really believe it. We've been through so much, so I can honestly say what makes you stand out as the amazing sister is we turned to be the best of friend that we are. I'm one of the few lucky ones that get to know every single shade of you. The rainbow and black and white shades will always be our bonding moments to share at all costs for our lifetime.

You are super talented, amazing, beautiful, with a kind and wonderful heart that never forget to make everyone laugh. You are the best example of a cheerful giver who never expects anything in return. Many people love you all over the world and with that, I am very grateful to God for giving me a gift of you. I am more proud because I am your little sister with whom you shared a lot since I was born. We got fonds of moments and memories to celebrate with all the days of our life. The best laughter we could share at times is the things we've done crazy from the past. (Lista lng lahat sa calendar ng di nakakalimutan.)

Thank you, Lord, for giving my parents a wonderful daughter in her and for us to have a wonderful sister not just by blood, but by heart that even our parents are all in heaven she never forgets to share her kindness and whatever she has. I am happy about everything you achieved. All you do are God's reflection of goodness in this life.

We all have our insecurities, but honestly, yours are unfounded. You rock the best styles and know-how to carry yourself like no other.  (Ewan ko nga saan mo nakukuha mga sinasabi mong wisdom tumatama naman diagnosis mo. Hahaha)

I'm gonna get super cheesy on this next part but only because all special days need a sentimental touch sis, you're a positive light in the world, and anyone who knows you is lucky to have you in their life.

You are over the top hilarious. You can one-up my bad jokes with some actual good jokes. You always know a fun way to turn something bad into a slightly better situation. You know when to be funny when to be silly, and most importantly when to suddenly turn into a sarcastic bitch simply because. (Ewan ko nga ba talaga, mahusay ka maka isip ng kakaiba. Talentada ka nga talaga. Hahaha!) You have wits. You literally know how to navigate nearly any situation.

You're wonderfully imperfect. Any possible area that you lack only makes you more wonderfully relatable and gives you that edge that makes people want to gravitate towards you.

As we've grown closer over time, you have become my go-to for nearly any situation. I know that you will always have a wise thing to say, a great recommendation, and a different perception of whatever situation I'm struggling with.

You truly are one of the sweet people I've known, if not the sweetest. You have a way of making sarcasm sweet, which I didn't even know was possible. Being selfless comes so naturally to you and I wonderfully love you for that.

I love you, sis for all that you are, for all of our memories, all of the fun times, all of the times we've supported each other, all of the times we've grown. We've really become a part of each other's journey, and I wouldn't have it any other way. How will I forget when you taught me how to do my laundry and still dirty. Hahaha!

You're more than a sister, you're a true friend indeed. I love you like I always do and protect you and all that comes with that. Family sticks together, and sisters are the best friends one can have. Thank you for being a big sister to me more now that we are both married and have our own families we never changed. Hopefully, our children would love, care and look for each other even we're not around.

They say that everyone in our lives was for a reason. And since I was a baby, I’ve realized that this is nothing but the truth. Because fate had to have a reason to send you to me when I needed you the most.

Me and My wonderful Sister Phine!

Even though I don’t need a special occasion like this to realize that I couldn’t imagine my life without you in it, this is the day that I simply have to tell you how much you mean to me.

We love this kind of picture-taking!

I am the person who saw the good in you when you were at rock bottom and the one who had faith in you that you are destined for great things.

We love orchids, but then we realize there is none. Hahaha!

I am the person who saw the good in you when you were at rock bottom and the one who had faith in you that you are destined for great things.

When you want to have a solo picture!

I was the only one who was always honest with you and the only one who made sure you have to face the truth, no matter how harsh it was. You are a great faithful Wife, caring Mom, and fantastic loving Granny.

When her knees started to complain and we need to have souvenir shots!

I always knew I am the one who loves you at your worst and who gives you the strength you need when you are at your weakest

Today is your day, but I also have a reason to celebrate. Today is the day my soul sister, my biggest strength, my shoulder to cry on, and my missing piece of the puzzle was brought into this world.

Newest Discovery!

Thank you so much, sister, for you are the one who helps me get back up on my feet every time life knocks me down on my hardest health condition and keeps me glued together every time I think I am about to break. I love you sister here, there, and everywhere.

To be continue... (Papalakas lng muna again ng energy.)

Beautiful Heart of Spouses Solita Nazareth and Tong Lopez, Elders of Oasis of Love, Marriage Encounter Ministry!

I will always be grateful to you Sister Lita Nazareth Lopez and Bro Tong Lopez for your support and kindness. It would be impossible to count all the ways that you've helped me in my being a wife for Tony. Thank you so much for all that you've done for me and Tony. I only hope I can return the favor sometime in the future. Thanks for being a good mentor and for guiding me on the right path, understanding that serving God is not easy. You never left us out, ever all these years you always remember us in your events and occasions. Thank you for always remembering us and even before you go up you visit me in my dream.

I remember one time, I was very young then, during our M.E. weekend, I was crying in the car because I don't want to be a treasurer anymore. I told Tony, I want to quit because I lost my patience with that one Core group member. Pinuntahan mo ako sa car, kasama si Bro Tong at napabalik nyo naman ako. Hehehe "Napaiyak talaga ako sa yamot sa taong yon." Pero sabi mo nga po, it's God whom we are serving. Trials are just there to teach us something in a way. Hehehe.

I can always trust sis Lita and Bro Tong, I can open up my heart without any worry or judgment. I usually felt light and feeling good after hearing Their words of golden wisdom. I love Sis Lita's way of being kind in words and indeed guiding me in a way.

I know Sister Lita Lopez and Bro Tong for more than 2 decades, 25 years to be exact. We were classmates in Mama Mary Apostolate, Cursillo Class 1995 at San Isidro Labrador, Bulacan. Together with Sister Olive De Guzman, and late Sister Maricon Villamin. We were sponsored by a visionary lady, late Sister Emma Dizon and Rector Irma Agoncillo.

My husband meets their husbands during the Mañanita. After that Mañanita our husband bonded with each other, they were served breakfast, while we're busy with our activities.

When we reach home, my husband told me, that these ladies are elders of Oasis of Love and want to recruit us to their Marriage Encounter Ministry. We never lose our contacts, seem were really destined to be friends forever.

After 4 days of live-in Retreat at Cursillo House, they invited me and Tony to attend their 1st Oasis of Love CLSS live-out, Batch Genesis at Christ the King Seminary.

Then a year after, we were invited to attend Marriage Encounter weekend in Saint Scholastica's Center for Spirituality in Tagaytay City. After that, we sponsored the next batch and we continue serving. Tony, become the photographer. I become the treasurer and I do some art gifts for the candidates.

The best way our mentor did is to prepare another leader so she and the core group was exposed to other great people. We're leveling up through deepening seminars. Now we know the difference between M.E. 1 to M.E. 2.

Couples Sister Lita, Bro Tong Lopez, Sister Olive, Bro Jings De Guzman were some of the great couple leaders I met, they make the hard choice, and self-sacrifice in order to enhance the lives of others around them. Serving God is not a choice but a gift. God gave you the best gift so you can be a part of his Ministry. Many are called but we have different roles to complete the team.

This photo was taken at the M.E. 2 Deepening Seminar at Padre Pio Retreat House in Lipa, Batangas. With Tony and Sol, Sister Lita Lopez, and Father Tanseco.

July 5, 2020
I had a dream, a wonderful dream. At around 10:00 PM. Sister Tita Lita Lopez visits me in my dream with Sister Olive. In my dream she is very happy, smiling a lot, very young, slim, and beautiful. She's wearing a pastel peach dress, she stands and looks like a beauty queen, with her beautiful and sincere smile, together with her slim body she is really a beauty queen.

She is happy and with her priceless smile, she told me something (for my ears only), then she shows me a card that seems like a raffle ticket. I take it and give the cards to Tony and told him to check the number which I cannot read clearly. We sit around at our round table and Tony brings out many items as a gift, Tony uses them in giving gifts this way. She is very happy and in particular, she chooses the silver old-style camera. If you know Sister Lita, you know what I mean and how she appreciates, values the reaction of the receiver. She herself is warm indeed.

When I wake up, I feel good, I remember, she is really a beauty queen in Tanauan Batangas during her time.

In my heart, I felt that she genuinely loves Me, Tony, and our son. She visits me here before she goes up in heaven as in Christian beliefs soul goes up after 40 days. Thank you so much, Sister Tita Lita, my Cursillo classmate, M.E. servant role model, a good family friend, a good listener, and a good adviser. I learned a lot about the value of being unique from her because she is sincere and truthful in her words and advice. She never judges me at all, she gave me do's and don'ts tips but never judges me on my weaknesses. "Kaya naman malapit siya sa puso ko, namin ni Tony." She is purely sincere and genuine with everyone. She is humble and meek in many ways.

I remember her name and his husband's name sounds the same likes ours, her grandson whispers to her Mommy look at their name. Tony and Sol, while theirs is Tong and Solita

Overview:
In my book of dreams, dreamed it says there about meeting and talking to a dead person, in such a dream is a good sign. The dream might indicate people around you, treating you with kindness and compassion. It might also be a sign of good luck and success in accomplishing your current goals. Other times they have a deeper meaning from the afterworld that is not easily interpretable. Dreams can mean a lot of things, it signifies that they are trying to reach you and speak to you.

Dead can visit us to try to give us comfort or to do their best to give us a sense of closure. Oftentimes they will visit us in our dream looking happy, much younger, healthier, and more vibrant and full of life than we ever remembered them while they were alive.

Sometimes they appear to us this way because they want to let us know that everything will be alright and not to worry. It’s like they want you to rest assured that they are in good hands and well taken care of.

Oasis of Love Family!
Thank you for the love, prayers, and concern for me and Tony.

Angel Without Wings, He is Dr. Jorge Ignacio, A Medical Oncologist, Cancer Specialist, and Chairman of the UP - PGH Cancer Institute.

He is Dr. Jorge Ignacio, a medical oncologist, Cancer specialist, and chairman of the UP - PGH Cancer Institute. In his simple gesture and pure heart, you will never go wrong.

Dr. Jorge Ignacio
A medical oncologist, cancer specialist,
and chairman of the UP-PGH Cancer Institute.

In this situation that we are all in now,
these pictures serve as an inspiration for me.
It is another way of healing your soul, that reflects another.

It is an honor to see how humble he is, Dr. Jorge who entered the hospital even though the whole of Manila was on lock-down. Like many frontliners, he is one of those who still fulfills the call of duty, despite difficulties and dangerous Pandemic Covid19.

" You're traveling in the road less traveled."
"Yung reward mo po Doc, lahat kaming pasyente mo love ka at ipinagdarasal kang mabuti."

I am inspired by his passion and dedication. In my heart, I observe how tiring to be a doctor with a heart. “First God, you are our great healer, second is the Doctor that you gave a gift to us." I am saying this as an expression of our love, of our affection, of our respect to you Lord, and to our Oncology Doctor Jorge Ignacio.

Grant my prayer o Lord, that this little message gives him extra energy he needs to work for his many patients. When tragedy hits us, we are comforted by his presence, his support, his medicine, his love, by his care and I am sure by his prayers. And so I pray for him and his family the best of every day for his health and long life. God bless you and keep you safe away from any harm and any viruses. Stay healthy and happy Doc.

God really put people in our lives to teach, inspire, and believe that there is something for everyone to look up. "Salamat Doc sa pagiging matatag mo in spite of everything nakatayo at sugod pa rin tayo, tuloy ang laban mga kapatid." Hehehe

"That in all things God may be glorified!"

My Personal Note and View:

Modern medicine can be viewed as miraculous. The patient must follow the plan for the treatment and what we do is even more important than what our Doctors can do. Our Doctor is a coach, a teacher, a vessel through which knowledge and the power of healing flow. Just as priests are instructed and reminded that they are not the source of blessings, Doctors knew their place, that they are not the source of healing, but its conduit. And so our best friend Doctor will lead us to spiritual and so we all pray for one goal.

In Latin, “patient” means “sufferer.” Part of our doctor's job is to ease suffering, relieve pain. There is a large temptation for a physician to develop a God complex, given the science, the technology, the immense knowledge and readily available medicine on the one hand, and the vulnerable, weak patient, Yet our Doctors very blessings can make us stumble and turn into curses if not dashed with humility. And so we pray to God to gift us Doctor who will be our inspiration to recover our self-motivation.

I recall, a priest told me before my operation procedure, that Doctors are sad to see their patients losing hope, and worst if they die, they cried and most of them really went to confession with a broken heart. So I must be strong to fight and believe that Mama Mary and God are with me/us so I must live because my Doctor will get hurt and broken if I won't.

Another priest, a friend of mine called me from Italy just a timely 30 minutes before my operation, he said don't be afraid. The doctors are working because there is a cure. You are blessed, talk to God and he will give you a sign that only your heart could understand. All his words lighten my soul and my heart never felt any single fear, I cannot remember all his words but I remember the feeling of surrendering myself to God as the best weapon I got.

I lost my Ninong Doctor Joel Ruiz 2 years ago, and with Doc Ignacio, I found the same spirit and soul like him, My husband and I agreed that he is very like Ninong Doctor who lives in the lives of many as a missionary Doctor. A Doctor that is truly sent to me by God through my angel Doctors too.

Our Doctors are like us, they are also human, with my limits. They are powerless if we patients are not cooperative. As kindness is a sign of strength, surrender is a sign of confidence. So, I must say that we must continue praying to Our Great Physician who holds life and death in His hands, for our Doctors to have the strength to love their noble profession, use its powers, and never abuse them.

I remember on the very 1st day of my Chemo Cycle, I ask Doc. Jorge Ignacio what are the things, food that is not good for me. He told me, No Preservatives, and Narrate to me the Ten (10) Commandments. So I think that is the best Doctor for me to consider his spiritual balance of everything. It is a very worthy reminder for me to consider self-examination in a way.

Remove obstacles to healing

Let us go of any feelings that may be obstacles to healing. It can help if you go to confession and receive the Eucharist.

Sadness and deep regret may trouble you, that is not what Jesus wants. In the Gospels, He teaches that healing can be found in helping others and so they are helping us too.

Jesus, help my eyes to see all the good you sendest me.
Jesus, help my ears to hear calls for help from far and near.
Jesus, help my feet to go in the way that you wilt show me.
Jesus, help my hands to do all things loving, kind, and true.
Jesus, may I be helpful, growing every way I can?
Amen.

To our Dearest Doc Jorge Ignacio and to all our dearest front liners. God bless you and your family. Keep us all safe, healthy, and unharmed from any viruses. Jesus, King of Mercy. We Trust In You.

Let's keep these thoughts by heart from the original post of Doc Jorge Ignacio, the heart of a true-blooded Doctor for his family and the family of his fellow frontliners in these trying times.

"So may I ask a favor, please treat our families well when we are gone. They are all that we can leave you to remember us by. We do not ask for monuments or citations. Just treat our loved ones with the love we laid in this fight.

From my heart, I thank you all for your understanding! Doctor Jorge Ignacio"

It's worthy of my many million cells and surely for anyone to think about how much we love our family and yet the call of duty and love remains superior.

Overview: Just timely, naiiyak ako for no reason at all just watching the song of Saint Bernadeth of Soubirous. Salamat at mas bumilis at dumami pa ang iyak ko, while reading the message of Doctor Jorge Ignacio, dahil dumami ayan natapos iyak ko. Pati message pala ni Doc nakaka heal, napa tahan ako agad. Hehehe! Napaisip na rin. God's love is a pearl of endless wisdom.

Very true indeed, to our countrymen, we appreciate all your helping hands, prayers, and concerns. Yes, it's more important to us, the family of frontliners to give us your kindness, support, and prayers.

It's not an ordinary thing nowadays. A challenging time for us and to our loved ones who are now out as frontliners, it's truly heartbreaking to know the risk that only God's love could help us in his comforting words and promises.

Kumakapit lng ako sa promise nya "That He will keep us." Hindi ko pa naranas sa buong buhay ko ang nangyayari ngayon. Di ko pa naranasan maiyak na just looking at our wall clock maalala ko ulit magdasal. Yung uncertain ka anong feeling ba yung sabi ng heart ko. Each time, I will see them going out our home, and be back using our back door to keep us away from any harm. Yung, nasaan na kaya si Tony and other members of my family na need lumabas dahil sa call of duty, and be thankful and happy again each time na makakasama at makaka usap sila muli na parang ang saya saya pa rin nila kahit pagod inaalala pa rin nila ako at pamilya.

Lord, God in heaven please protect us with your most precious blood. Amen.

My Favorite Social Worker, Miss Maria Lourdes Abad Dayo!

Maria Lourdes Abad Dayo, RSW since July 1979
Graduated BS Social Work at La Concordia College, Manila
Social Worker - Philippine Government Social Welfare Officer

At the very beginning of my life, my first day here on this earth I was greeted with thirteen smiling faces one of which was our mom and our father and the others are my ten siblings. You are the 6th child and I am the 11th child, I am 2nd to the youngest of 12. Even at the age of eight you anxiously awaited my arrival and it wouldn't be long until we became the very best of friends when we grew up.

It's always kind to think I may have gotten a little bit luckier than you did because even though I wasn't the first "baby," I got to live my entire life with you all. I know no life without you my sister in it. We've shared some of my very first moments in life together, you've watched my first steps, smile, the first day of school, first day of high school, first JS Prom, debut, marriage, and the birth of my only child, plus so much more in-between moments.

We experienced the loss of our father, mother, nephew, and lastly our brother together and in those moments of despair and brokenness, you were the light at the end of my tunnel to lead me and other siblings out of the darkness.

I think sometimes that God knew, I couldn't live this life alone without you and so he sent me to mom so that I had you to go through this life with. We got to experience my very first child together, we got both boys so we also go to experience our very first nephews together as well. How is it we were both blessed with awesome boys? That is what I call a bond.

I'd like to say that we have a bond that is so unbreakable not even the jaws of steel could pull us apart but isn't that what all sisters say? I want you to know and understand why it is that our bond is so very unique and different and why it is so important to me. Our lives haven't always been perfect we have had some hard spots in life but I can't remember a single one that we faced alone especially during my health agony up to the transition of the second life which I am having and I am grateful for going through it now. Any time I call you, day or night, I know that you will be there. I know that there is absolutely no distance or time that keeps us apart. Don't get me wrong, we have had our fair share of bickering, fights, and arguments. But we ALWAYS bounce back from those and our bonds become stronger with each passing day. When every single person has turned their back on me, forsaken me, given up on me, or walked out of my life. You don't. You never leave me, you never judge me, and you never betray me.

I know that my feelings and my heart are always okay with you and I never have to put a guard up because I know you'll keep my heart safe. In so many ways I look up to you more than you will ever know. You are fearless, caring, loving, loyal, helpful, and honest to a fault. I wish on many occasions that I could be half of the woman you are in life and I would be absolutely content with that.

You have taught me so many things while going through life especially during those lowest and hardest days of my life. I only hope that I have had the same effects on you in life that you have had on me. They say that God gives you many different forms of soul mates, not just the people you date or marry but in the people you love and If anything were ever so true it's that saying. You are one of my soul mates throughout this life. I love you, dearest sister, to the moon and back, infinity and beyond.
