Ngong Ping 360, Hong Kong

Get out in the world, it’s a magical place and creates some amazing memories.

I love creating memories, and that is what is most important to me in my life. They said, if you want to keep your memories, you first have to live them. At the end of my days, I want to have memories of all the fun times in my life, not just memories of working.

Ngong Ping Village is set on a naturally scenic 1.5-hectare site on Lantau Island, adjacent to Ngong Ping Cable Car Terminal, Hong Kong Big Buddha and Po Lin Monastery. This amazing culturally themed village that connects to Ngong Ping Plaza has been designed and landscaped to reflect the cultural and spiritual integrity of the Ngong Ping area. It boasts several major tourist attractions – the enlightening Walking with Buddha and the thrilling Motion 360. Visitors are also treated to a diverse array of retail, dining and entertainment experiences.

As a major part of Ngong Ping 360, Ngong Ping Village is a great starting point for your Hong Kong sightseeing itinerary on Lantau Island. Its strategic location at the island’s transport hub means you can travel from here and find easy access to many interesting and unusual places in Hong Kong to visit. What’s more, the comprehensive list of shops and restaurants on site is sure to keep you and your loved ones refreshed, energized and excited before or after your Hong Kong day trip.

On top of being a hot destination on many Hong Kong tours, Ngong Ping Village is also highly popular amongst locals because of the many themed events held throughout the year. Tourists and locals will find themselves surrounded by festive decorations, creative ideas and interactive installations at the village. They will also be delighted by an array of street side entertainment, such as performances, workshops, stall games, etc. In short, there is always something new and fun happening at Ngong Ping Village. If you are thinking about what to do in Hong Kong, this is going to be a top choice, where you can enjoy tranquility, culture, sightseeing, entertainment and lovely shopping and dining in one place!

The Big Budha

The majestic outdoor bronze Buddha statue sits solemnly atop the peak of Mount Muk Yue,
next to the Po Lin Monastery. The 34m tall bronze-cast Buddha was modeled after Sakyamuni,
who achieved enlightenment under the Bodhi tree. The imparting fearlessness
of the right hand indicates the compassion to save all sentient beings from their sufferings;
the 'fulfilling wishes' mudra of the left hand, resting on the lap, implies the vow
to grant blessing and happiness to all.

Inside the pedestal is a three-storey exhibition hall presenting a number of
invaluable Buddhist items, including Buddha's relic.
Visitors can climb up 268 steps to reach the three-storey pedestal
to visit the Buddha and enjoy the boundless views of Lantau and South China Sea

Adjacent to the Ngong Ping Cable Car Terminal,
Ngong Ping Village is an impressive cultural themed village,
incorporating three major attractions - Walking with Buddha, Stage 360 and Motion 360.

Ngong Ping Nature Center

In addition to being just a Lantau tourist spot,
the Ngong Ping Nature Centre is a place where the Agriculture,
Fisheries and Conservation Department exhibits information about Lantau
to enhance visitors' knowledge about the biodiversity and natural landscape,
and to promote public awareness of environmental and ecological conservation,
and above all, to encourage ethical, responsible and sustainable Hong Kong tourism.

It is the first visitor centre established for Lantau's country parks.
There are display panels with Chinese, English and Japanese captions,
and a knowledge corner that provides information about nature.
The Centre also organises guided eco-friendly land tours for visitors
to explore the culture and natural resources around the Ngong Ping area,
such as Ngong Ping Fun Walk.

Schedule of the free nature guided tours:
Monday to Friday: 11:00* 14:00 15:00 16:00
Saturday, Sunday and public holidays: 10:00 11:00* 14:00 15:00 16:00
* English Tours are only available at 11:00am.

The Bodhi Tree, known as the Bo Tree, is the “Tree of Awakening”.
It was the tree under which Siddhartha meditated “Who am I and why am I here?”,
eventually attaining Enlightenment and becoming Buddha.

A man of integrity, honesty, fairness, dignity and of great wisdom.

Engineer Antonio B. Albar
Professional and Registered Civil Engineer of the Philippines

When I first look at you, I saw a man of simplicity with discernment.  I know you are a man of integrity by heart. A person with uprightness of character and committed in your relationship with God.

You are strictly honest, complete, and undivided in many ways. Hard worker and morally upright. with strict ethical standards. Something that you don't have to think about or consider doing. It is something in your heart that is already there in all times and circumstances.

I respect you so greatly for the things you have chosen to do with your life and to ours together.  I always admire your sense of humor in stating and acting on your best understanding of right and wrong.

You always spare time in giving your few words of wisdom and helping many find a peace that only God can provide.

You allow everyone to be on their own selves and guide them down the path of God’s teachings. Your love strengthens me, our family, and your people every day.

You always give so much of yourself to me, to our family, to your mates so unselfishly. You always care and always try to make things better and brighter for everyone.

Your character is as strong as it can be. You fill my heart with love, and I am grateful.

You are a gift from God. Every day, I wish you continuous blessings from above, for God's guidance, protection, strength for health, long life, and prosperity.

Words of wisdom

Work joyfully and peacefully, knowing that the right thoughts and right efforts will inevitably bring about the right results. No one knows everything, but everyone can learn something. Learn something about everything and everything about something. You learn something every day if you pay attention.

Words of wisdom

Remember that you are needed. There is at least one important work to be done that will not be done unless you do it.
